To such a good friend and a caring co-worker here on the Martin Luther Campus. John you are truly missed by all the Staff and Residents with your helping hands and knowledge of the goings on with Meadow Woods. I've worked with you the past 8 years now, it's not the same without you, also hearing all your stories. I can't understand how this could happen to someone so young, (at heart too). I will always treasure our memories we had. I'll miss my lunch and shopping partner!

My heartfelt condolences to all the family of John.

    Dear John,

I am so sad that you are gone.  What a good friend you were. We had many great talks about life. You helped me move during a time when stress was so high (you somehow fit everything into the little truck, like a puzzle).  You fixed my car inexpensively. You were so generous, handy, talented and smart--and fun. I loved to see you with the Residents at work.  Your smile lit up the room and your heart was even bigger.  I know there is a huge void at the nursing home campus, and at the apartments you took care of.  I pray you are enjoying yourself in heaven with loved ones who also passed (do you have sushi and oysters and guitars up there?!).  Thank you for being on this planet and making it a better place.

Dear family members of John, He spoke highly of you all, and always looked forward to his visits to Iowa.  I was relieved that it was in Iowa that he last lived on this planet, for your sakes.  Thank you for all you did for John.

With God's love and comfort, and with much sorrow,

    Amy A., friend and co-worker of John's

My brother-in-law, my friend, John "Son" Sailor aka to me & a few others as "Huhhh".. boy the memories we've shared over the decades...we would crack up just by being silly & repeatly saying "Huhhh to each other. πŸ˜‚ So many memories are flooding my mind as I'm trying to wrap my arms around your untimely passing.  All our fishing trips, you fussing at me not to stand up in the boat when catching a fish (I wasn't going to stand up Bruh πŸ˜‚) to you just being an all around big brother fixing everything for me.  Our many encouraging talks filled with gut wrenching laughter.  I'm going to remember the good times but it hurts.  You were my brother, you were my friend. 😰You left way too soon...without any warning but I know it was just time for God to call you home. 😰I know you loved my sister so & Linda loves all of you....agh.  My prayers for God to see her through as this will by far be one of the hardest thing she's had to do..  You will surely be missed...you are part of our family for so long you just belonged.  we love you with all our hearts.  Rest easy & In total Peace my brother, no more burdens of this world. Huhhh...πŸ˜°πŸ˜¨πŸ˜‡πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈβ€πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½My prayers & condolences to the Sailor family, many friends near & far & my family, the Reed-Davis Family.

1Corinthians 15:53    For our earthly bodies, the ones we have now that can die, must be transformed into heavenly bodies that cannot perish but will live forever. 54: When this happens, then at last this Scripture will come true-DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY.

I cant believe youre gone my sweet love. We only had 9 short years and that wasnt enough. You were the love of my life even with the ups and downs. You brought me joy and laughter tears sorrow and pain now that youre gone. There will never be another man as fine, as friendly, as wonderful as you, in my eyes. We used to sing together at the tops of our lungs and dance in the living room till the wee hours. You and me were soul mates and now my heart is broken in two. A part of me is missing. It will always be with you. My family and friends send their thoughts and prayers to Joe and Viola and family. I love u Aquarius.  Till we meet again, your "Babe" Rhonda
