Sorry to hear that Norma Jean, Bette's roommate just passed away.  They lived together for a long time at New Aldaya. Really enjoyed talking with "Shorty" when we would visit.

Bette was my mother-in-law and was warm & welcoming to me from Day 1.   She was always optimistic, although heartbroken to have lost so many loved ones over the past several years.  I never heard her complain or speak will of anyone. Rest in peace, Bette.

We are so sorry for your loss.  Your parents lived next to Larry and Betty Winninger, our mom is Betty's sister.  So, mom has known your mom for years.

When mom went to Newaldaya she was lucky to have Bette as her roommate.

Your mom was a wonderful woman.  She will be missed.

    Sincerely,

The family of Norma Jean Klein

My angel left me. My mom was the greatest mom in the world, and dad would say she was the greatest wife in the world. She was loving, caring, thoughtful and very giving to her  family and extended family. She cared for me, and dad until she no longer could care for us. All of her life she provided a place for me to stay. She was humorous  made me laugh and made me feel special. The people she came across... she had a good effect on them They would say once you get to know her… you will fall in love with her. She had long time close friends all of her life. I miss my mom. i know there are people who like to visit her one more time.

My mother had a long and wonderful life.   Many of her family, relatives and friends have passed before.  She was part of the greatest generation and played a very important role.

The beauty of such a long life is all the people she knew, affected and loved.  There is a very long list of people that have passed that would like to visit mom, one more time.

She will be sincerely missed by us still here, but she will now be back together with Don.

It was a pleasure and a joy to be Bette's youngest son. I couldn't ask for a more giving and funny mother. One of a kind. She will be missed.
