I have never met Jake.  I had been reading about how wonderful and awesome this young man Jake was.  May our Mighty God wrap all of you in His loving arms knowing Jake is Home and is now our Guardian Angel.  You are in my prayers.

My heart aches for those who loved Jake so much.  As I read the kind words written in his honor and memory, it amazes me how such a young, innocent boy, Jake Allan Wilson, unknowingly touched so many lives around the United States and Canada.  Jake won our heart with that beautiful smile and zest for life.  Our world is a better place because Jake was here.  He is now in his heavenly home where everything is perfect.  May it help to know that Jake will not want for anything ever again.  Jake will be there at the pearly gates to great you, Megan, and those he loves so much, when it is your turn to go to heaven.  Until then, know that Jake is safe and happy.  He is laughing, singing, dancing, fishing, riding his bike, playing with puppies, rocking, jumping, running, and hearing stories from those who went to heaven before him….he hasn’t stopped because there are so many wonderful things to do.  At this time, I pray that God wrap his arms around each of Jake’s loved ones and carry you as you heal.  May God bless you and keep you in his tender care,   Belinda Voelschow Massingill & Kent Massingill

Although we've never met, I've been following this story since Jake went missing, and I wanted to give my regards to his family and friends.  Jake looks like he would have been a sweet young man to know.  I was touched by his smile, and by what sounded like his innocent joy of life.  I've been thinking of him when I eat ice cream cones, and when I too haul home "treasures" from the woods.  I hope you'll be able to find comfort in knowing that you'll see him again one day.

    My condolences,

    Stephanie, from NW WI

Jake - I miss your smile so wide, your sparkling eyes that crinkled at the corners when you smiled, your laughter when we teased each other in Art class, your willingness and determination. Most of all I miss your creativity. In everything you said and did you spread love in our class. I am so sorry we never got a chance to paint on the easels together. I know how much you wanted to do that (you reminded me weekly).  Wait for me in heaven and the first thing I do when I get there will be to look you up and we will paint together - on easels. I will carry you in my heart forever. MsK

I really wish I knew Jake. He sounds like he was such an awesome kid. I know I have seen the two of them at family gatherings, but living in MN I never really got the chance to get to know some of my cousins, like Mikey and his kids. I feel sad about that. We have a big family and I know that every last one of them are important. My heart goes out to Mike and Brhce and Tyler and Jake’s mom. As well as the rest of the family. I am so saddened by this and it is so unimagineable. It makes me cry every time I see anything.  Rest in peace brave young man. Give grandma Irene Wilson, grandpa Harry Wilson, Ginny Wilson, Sue Wilson and Barb Wilson (Gilson) big fat hugs and kisses from us all and tell them we love them and miss them all and you too Jake.
