Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday April 15,2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville 


Public Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Wednesday April 14,2021 at Kearns Funeral Service as well as one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church 


Mt Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo with military rites accorded by the Iowa Army National Guard Honors Detail and Evansdale AMVETS Post #31

Joseph Lee Wyles, 77, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Waterloo of a heart attack. He was born on May 29, 1943 in Lebanon, OH, the son of Frank and Vivian Shupe-Wyles. He graduated from Dunkerton High School 1961. Joe served his country in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He married Bonnie Smith in 1965, they later divorced. He married Janice Parizek in 1986 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Joe worked at John Deere until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville, and a member of the UAW local 838 as well as various car clubs. In his spare time Joe enjoyed fishing and his street rods.

Survivors include: wife, Janice; 2 daughters, Pam (Justin) Sharrad, and Sue (Mark) Relyea, both of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Christine (Jeffrey) Dunlap of Waterloo; 2 stepsons, Bruce (Kellie) Clayton, and Arlin (Stephanie) Clayton both of Waterloo; brother, John (Vicky) Wyles of Fayetteville Ak; sister, Julie (Kevin) Oliver of Jefferson, OR; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
