I worked at NewAldaya a few years ago and had the pleasure of knowing Shorty. She always made my day so much better and made it a point to give me a hug every night before she went to bed. I still think about her often and hope to bring some of her kindness and joy into my own life. She will be missed by so, so many

Normal Jean was the roommate of my mother-in-law, Bette, at New Aldays.  Bette was so thankful Shorty was around, as was the rest of our family.  Seeing Shorty's smile was always uplifting!  She was a sweet spirit through and through with a warm and caring personality, always interested in others. Peace for the family during this difficult time.

Sorry for your loss. Such a nice sweet woman.  My mother and Norma were roommates at New Aldaya for a number of years. My mother thought she was a very lucky person to have someone like Norma as her roommate. I saw her often and she was always talkative and nice. Bless your family.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this sad and difficult time.  "Shorty" was such  special person and we always looked forward to our visits with her!  A verse that comforts us is from 2 Corinthians 5:7&8....(for Christians...) "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!"  We know that Jean is in heaven with her family and friends who were awaiting her there.  She will be sadly missed here on earth by all who knew and loved her.  We are sharing your sorrow.....Vickie & Byron

Sending my love to all the family! It was such a pleasure knowing such a sweet, caring and loving soul! Jesus was proud of his daughter! The family should be very proud she was your mother, grandmother and friend. Rest in peace with your Lord Jean! What a great day for her!
