Rosetta Dickens was born on June 17, 1940 in Greenwood, MS to James and Marie (Greene) Bunch. She departed this life on February 3, 2020. She attended both elementary and high school in Greenwood. Rosetta accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. Paul Methodist Church in Greenwood. After relocating to Waterloo, she married John Dickens in 1958 and he preceded her in death. She became a member of Community Baptist Church and later Rosetta united with St. John Church of the First Born.

Rosetta worked in many different occupations before retiring.  She was a housekeeper at the University of Northern Iowa and promoted to Supervisor. She was very, very witty and had many funny gestures. For instance, if you did not call before going over to her house, you were not getting in. And every time that she saw one of her nieces, she would tell them they must be eating a lot because they were getting fat.  Rosetta also loved to travel and spend time with her family, so every year she would go back to Mississippi.

She leaves to cherish her memories her significant other, Willie Landfair of Waterloo; five daughters, Edith Bunch of Waterloo, Tangela Dickens of Minneapolis, MN, Kathy Hoskins of Charlotte, NC, Jacqueline Bunch of Kansas City, KS, and Diane Lockett of Rochester, NY, one son, John (Jeanie) Dickens of New Brighton, MN; eight grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Geneva Davis of Greenwood, MS, and Jeanette (Jimmie) Turner of Waterloo; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jimmy and Sonny Bunch; a sister, Jaunita Townsend and a brother-in-law, Alvin Davis.
