Services

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, 3146 Kimball Ave. in Waterloo

The family would like to invite everyone to Becker-Chapman American Legion Post at
728 Commercial St., in Waterloo for a lunch and fellowship following the Memorial Service.

Visitation

4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.

Biography

Steven J. Clark, age 67, of Waterloo, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born February 9, 1951 in Waterloo, the son of Marvin Donald and Loretta Mae (Eldridge) Clark.  Steven graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1969.  He was united in marriage with Emma L. Billington on February 14, 1970 in Waterloo.

Steve worked for over 38 years as a conductor for Illinois Central Railroad, later known as Canadian National Railroad.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Waterloo.  Steve loved being outdoors spending time with his children at the river and also camping and fishing.  He enjoyed target shooting, riding his Harley and spending time with his two grandchildren.  Steve was an excellent story teller.

Survivors include his wife, Emma of Waterloo; a daughter, Jennifer Jean (Darin Seeger) Clark of Raymond; a son, Allen Donald (Natasha) Clark of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Ashley and Jeffrey Seeger; two sisters, Julie (Ben) Waskow of Umatilla, FL and Joyce Geist of Waterloo.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents and a brother, Larry “Pat” Clark.

    R.I.P. Steve. Condolences to his family. Worked for years with Steve in different crafts on the RR. He was a humorous guy and great to work with...always brought a smile to my face.

    SORRY TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF STEVE.  WORKED WITH HIM A LOT AT

    WATERLOO WHEN HE WAS ON THE CEDAR RAPIDS TURN.  ALWAYS KEPT YOU UP TO

    DATE ON HIS WORK.  HE MADE MY JOB A LOT EASIER.  MAY HE REST IN PEACE.
